Katie Beyer is in her third year at UC Hastings College of the Law and has a concentration in Law and Health Sciences. She received two CALI Awards for Academic Excellence and is a member of the Hastings Law Journal. She is currently ranked in the top 20% of her class and received the Distinguished Student Scholarship in 2017.
During her time at Hastings, Katie has worked as a Research Fellow for the Source on Healthcare Price and Competition. In addition to her work for the Source, Katie interned at the California Department of Justice, Office of Healthcare, Education, and Welfare, Civil Division. Katie received her B.A. degrees in Global Health and Political Science; and minor in Music from the University of Washington. Prior to her studies at UC Hastings, Katie worked for United States Senator Patty Murray in Washington D.C. assisting the healthcare and women’s right legislative aides. She then became an executive assistant at Washinton2Advocates, a government and public affairs consulting firm, where she worked on a variety of state and federal policies issues.
Katie joined KGF as a summer law clerk in 2018. The firm looks forward to having her join full-time in Fall 2019.
